Welcome to the Super Meat Boy Bandage, Warp Zone, Hidden Character and Achievement Guide. Below you’ll find a simple listing of which levels throughout the game contain Bandages and which ones contain Warp Zones. At the very bottom you’ll see how to unlock the Hidden Characters and the Steam and Xbox 360 Achievements. And if you haven’t already, make sure you read our review on the game itself.

Some of the items are difficult to spot at first, but we assure you they are indeed in the levels listed. We’ve died well over 10,000 times between the contributors trying to get this information to you.

There are a total of 101 Bandages, 20 Warp Zones and 25 Unlockable Characters (8 are exclusive to Xbox 360, 8 are exclusive to PC, and 1 is exclusive to Steam).

Xbox 360 Achievements

Nostalgia – 15g – “You found a warp zone! Now pay me for the door repair!” – This is an extremely easy achievement to get, just jump into the first warp you see in Level 1-5.

Living in the Past – 20g – “You conquered 5 warp zones! you’re so old school…” – Just keep unlocking the Warp Zones listed above and you’ll nab these easy points.

The Commander – 10g – “You unlocked Commander Video! Double rainbow all da way!” – All you need to do is unlock the warp zone in Level 1-12 and finish the three Commander Video levels.

Sticky Fingers – 5g – “You unlocked Gish by collecting 10 bandages! Go you!” – Once you get your first 10 bandages, you’ll get this achievement. It’s easy in Chapter 1.

The End – 65g – “You beat the game!… but that’s not the end, is it?” – Just run the the 6 Chapters in the Light World and you’ll get this achievement after beating Dr. Fetus. You only need to beat 17 of each Chapter to unlock the boss level if you’re looking to save time.

Tin Boy – 5g – “You just beat 10 levels without getting killed! Meat Boy loves you for that!” – This is easy to get in Chapter 1 and can be combined with:

Iron Boy – 10g – “You completed a full chapter without dying! Good for you!” – Just play through the 20 Light Levels of Chapter 1 without dying. It’s not that bad. You can’t even die in the first 5.

Business Time – 10g – “You unlocked Tim by collecting 50 bandages! He’s weird…” – Once you get up to 50 bandages, you’ll unlock Tim from Braid who can reverse time (and get extra bandages). Just look at the guide above for bandage locations.

The Real End – 20g – “You completed the Dark World… you are awesome.” – After beating the Light World, you need to unlock and beat enough Dark World levels to get to Chapter 6 and fight the Dark Dr. Fetus. It’s not easy, but that’s how you get this.

I’m a Golden God – 20g – “You got 100% on Super Meat Boy, start bragging!” – Check your statistics in the main menu. You’ll need to collect 100 bandages, get every warp zone and beat every level on par time to get this super-achievement.

Suffragette (Secret Achievement) – 10g – “You’ve beaten the Cotten Alley all by yourself!” – Just beat the Light World of The Cotton Alley and you’ll unlock this achievement. But remember, The Cotton Alley is no joke.

The Kid (Secret Achievement) – 10g – “You unlocked The Kid!” – All you need to do is beat Warp Zone 5-7. That’s it. Just beat that. It’s possible though. I just got it.

Steam Achievements

Wood Boy – Complete the Forest without dying.

Needle Boy -Complete the Hospital without dying.

Salt Boy – Complete the Salt Factory without dying.

Brimstone Boy – Complete Hell without dying.

Maggot Boy – Complete the Rapture without dying.

Dead Boy – Complete The End without dying.

Nostalgia – Unlock a single retro warp zone.

Living In the Past – Complete 5 retro warp zones.

Old School – Complete 10 retro warp zones.

Retro Rampage – Complete all retro warp zones.

The End – Beat the light world.

The Real End – Beat the dark world.

Golden God – 100% the game.

I Have Crabs! – Unlock the Head Crab (10 bandages).

Metal Head – Unlock the Machinarium Robot (30 bandages).

I Smell something Fishy… – Unlock Naija (50 bandages).

MS PAINT RULZ! – Unlock RunMan (70 bandages).

Vx6 – Unlock Captain Viridian (90 bandages).

Accidental Arsonist – Unlock Mr. Minecraft (100 bandages).

The Commander – Unlock Commander Video.

The Bootlicker – Unlock Jill.

The Jump Man – Unlock Ogmo.

The Fly Guy – Unlock Flywrench.

The Kid – Unlock the Kid.

There are an Six Achievements for beating the secret -1 through -6 levels. When I copy and paste each one, it breaks the guide…so you’ll have to take my word for it!

If you look in the lower left corner of that middle contraption, you’ll see one of the bricks looks hollow. On your way back after unlocking the whole contraption, just get through that block and you’ll gain access to that center window area. You just need to wait for the small moments where all the lasers drop out.

It literally falls from the sky into the spikes below between two of the pedestals. You need to grab the first key, jump two platforms to the left (dodging saws), and then catch the key mid-air.

Counting the “towers,” look at the very top of the third one. It’ll be spinning around discreetly at the top. Just jump up and in from the left hand side and you’ll get in.

That’s one of the sneakiest ones and I passed it many times.

You have to get up to the hole where the demon missiles are firing from and run right behind the wall to the right of it. There is no visible trace of the warp zone, but it’s definitely there.

Don’t see this talked about, but there’s a glitched “minus” world (or -1). In the forest if you see Bandage Girl “glitching” (any level it seems) and you get to her without dying, you’ll unlock the minus world.

I’m pretty sure I know the one you mean… if I’m thinking of the right level, jump up the right past the saws, then when you get to the top of there, jump up to the next saws – you’ll see the bandage just beneath the saw on the left

The game appears to glitch on certain levels and not flag a collected bandage. But be careful, I’ve found that this also sometimes mean that the game has stopped autosaving. So if you grab the same bandage several times and keep playing, sometimes you’ll lose all your progress. My chapter 2 is currently sitting at 105%.

You missed a secret warp zone in world 1…. appears on stage 1-14 behind bandage girl and is located on the map as a yellow box before stage 1-1. The stage name is this: _| |> ._. |>

Its a weird one, text goes like russian or some random language for that 1 level.

Actually Hamster, that’s not a secret warp zone – there’s a special glitched set of levels in each world, and you find them by touching Bandage Girl when she’s glitched (she does this randomly now and again). As mentioned above, we’re planning on talking about these in a separate guide coming soon

I think I remember the level you mean – and unfortunately you won’t be able to get that particular bandage yet. Certain bandages are in such nasty places that you’ll need to unlock certain other characters first. Once you’ve unlocked the right character, you’ll know what to do

You can see the bandage by your head behind a gate. But if you look above bandage girl, you’ll see a switch. You need to hit that switch, get back to the bandage alive, and then do it all over again.

If you 100% The Forest World you unlock Teh Internets. Which appears to be where the DLC will be? It has several sections saying Coming Soon. The unlocked world is in a 16 bit style is a dayum hard and Meat Boy is the only playable character.

you unlock Teh Internets by collecting 20 bandages, but obviously if the first 20 bandages you get are the Forest bandages, then you’ll finish the Forest and get Teh Internets at the same time

Teh Internets is indeed where the DLC will appear, although there is already some there to play, as you pointed out.

This one is kind of hard to see against the saws. But at the top of the level before Bandage Girl, where the multiple saws are shooting up and down it’s in the middle at the height of a jump.

Any more info on the over 100% completion issue? Is it a bug? I reached 109% on Chapter 1, played one level, died, returned to map, and it ticked up to 110%. Plus got 21 bandages in the same chapter, with at least two more to go. Weirdness.

Ok, so went back to Hand Held Hack, the bandage appeared again in 1-2, even though I already picked it up. I picked it up again and in 1-3, there was no bandage. Still gave me credit for getting the 2nd bandage. Oh well.

Yeah sorry, my mistake, I only found one. I can also say that there was only one bandage in 4-19x for me and I checked every block. You might’ve encountered a glitch there, as the last two bandages in this world are probably in a warp zone that has yet to be discovered.

There is a warp zone in 5-12 “10 Horns”. It leads to a level called “Sunshine Island.” The warp zone is on top of the first mountain thing. You can get up there with Meat Boy, but a double jumper can do it much easier. I’m not sure how many bandages are in said zone yet (just started playing it). There’s at least one in the first area.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, didn’t see it on the list.

According to the end of the chapter, I have everything from chapter 4. Both 20 light and dark world levels, 4 warp zones, 20 bandages and the negative world done, but it says I only have 96%. Any ideas why?

That’s odd. It seems like most people are getting an over 100% glitch…not under.

I guess double check the bandage icons in all the levels and maybe try getting par time on everything? I’m really not sure.

Did you get double bandages anywhere to get 100? Otherwise, can you help us figure out which level we’re missing in Chapter 5?

I can confirm that the suffragette achievement is awarded for beating the cotton alley light world. I got an A+ on every level but I’m not sure if that is an aquirement. The description simply says: You’ve beaten the Cotton Alley all by yourself!

Weird, I just unlocked Meat Ninja and the I’m a golden god achievement by beating cotton alley dark world. Under statistics it shows 100% completion although I’m still missing one bandage in world 5 and world 4 completion is glitched and stuck at 96%. I’m looking for that last bandage now.

I’m stuck at 96% in Chapter 4 as well and have a few more things to get in Chapter 5. Meat Ninja, eh? I saw that character pop on screen at one point with a cryptic message.

Well, I’ve taken the #2 spot now, hahaha.

I also have the 96% completion glitch in world 4 and I’m missing 2 bandages in world 5, but I still got the golden god achievement. The achievement popped after I grabbed a bandage in level 7-12X (a stage called “Pink”) that isn’t mentioned in this guide. I grabbed it shortly after finishing up all the dark world levels. It was also my 99th bandage, but the meat ninja unlocked anyways.

Oh…I thought the meat Ninja was the 100 bandage character, but I just looked at the character select and he isn’t. Weird.

Wow nice find there, that bandage seems completely out of place, I’d never looked for bandages in worlds 6 and 7. Now I have 100 bandages and unlocked the Ninja from N, but there’s still the missing bandage in world 5. I guess they might’ve messed up there too :-/
Hopefully they fix some of these glitches including the zero seconds one people are exploiting left and right

Also it raised my percentage for Cotton Alley to 103, so it is probably another glitch. Maybe the missing bandage somehow wound up there from world 5 lol, I doublechecked all levels and just can’t find it.

Confirmed. Just got “The Kid” achievement for completing Warp Zone 5-7 and unlocking The Kid.

I was in level 1-18 whitewash… in the dark world obv… and somehow went into a warp zone that isnt really a warp zone.. it takes you to zone ” – 1″ like the glitch in supermario one the level does not have a name, or rather the name of the level is in jumbles up characters that remind me of missingno cheet in pokemon. The level after you beat it/die… shows up right before level 1-1 in the light world map. and it doesnt show up as a warp zone either it looks like a white level. Anyone else get to this… I so far cant repeat whatever i did in whitewash to get there.

About these minus levels: I randomly ran into one while playing through world 6, the level was one of the flying ships from SMB3 complete with the cannons and everything. Unfortunately I did not beat it and unlike the others it did not show up on the map, don’t know what’s up with that.

That sounds awesome. I narrowly missed hitting the glitched Bandage Girl in Chapter 6. You sure it’s not just hiding in the opposite world Dark -> Light, vice-versa?

I can’t figure out how to beat par time in babylon (4-20). In the room with the lava, I have to wait before I can proceed. There must be a way to rush through that part. Any help?

It’s just a case of moving really fast through the previous rooms, Chrome. In the second room, try to jump straight across to the right without waiting around, then you should be able to just make it through room 3 if you’re fast enough

Anyway, you should still check everywhere for that chapter 5 bandage, it could be in a wall like that Hell warpzone. And if there’s a hidden bandage in world 7, there could possibly be a hidden one in The End as well?

My opinions, I’m still waiting for the dammed WiiWare release :/

If you get 100% in the game you unlock the meat ninja, that is super fast and can teleport. You can see him in this video:

Should have mentioned where; it’s at the far left side and rises alongside the sawblade lift. You can squeeze into that gap there, and it actually makes the level a lot easier even.

I can confirm that 100 bandages unlocks The Ninja from N+. Also, the character from the warp zone from 5-7 is called The Kid (from I Wanna Be The Guy), not The Guy. Says so right in his description, “Not The Guy”.

Just remember that you can jump higher from the side of a block than from the top of a block. They’re very possible to get.

You have to get up to the discolored patch as quickly as possible. It’s not a matter of waiting for the Warp Zone to arrive, it’s about getting there before it disappears.

There are two bandages in 4-19X long goodbye. Both are behind cumble blocks one in the top aria and one in the bottom area… both are on the left of the map.

In chapter 4 (HELL), I have ACED ALL light and dark worlds, collected all 20 Bandages, unlocked the secret character and beaten the boss. It says that I am 96% complete. What am I missing here?? Have you heard of anyone else having such a problem?

Something strange happened to me. Could someone please confirm if you have a “golden ticket” (I don’t know how to show you what I mean) as the first level on Chapter 3: The Salt Factory (Light) ? I can choose all the normal levels (from 1 to 20 + boss) and I have another one that is what would be the mission 0.

All the letters are all mangled, the name of the map is “-3 |> ·_· |>”… I’ll post a link as soon as I have uploaded it.

The level unlocked for me doing the mission “3-10X Exploder”, just at the precise moment I touched the bandage princes >_>.
