More Than Meets The Eye: ‘AirMech’ Alpha Testers Offered MEGA Bundle

Alpha testers of futuristic action/RTS AirMech are to be offered exclusive access to the newly-outed AirMech Alpha MEGA Bundle, developers Carbon Games have announced.

Priced at $20, the package will grant users full entitlement to every single AirMech, Unit and Variant currently included in the game’s Alpha build, along with a brand new, fully exclusive Alpha Striker Variant. Purchasers will also continue receive every subsequently released item of content whilst the game remains in its Alpha stage of development, including a new set of units set to be released next week.

Previously a browser-exclusive experience through Google Chrome, AirMech will also be the subject of a full PC incarnation in the near future. How the two versions of the game will differ has yet to be fully disclosed, but the folks at Carbon Games are currently eyeing up reliable and dedicated players to participate in a separate testing programme for the PC port. However, with online multiplayer seemingly posing as the meat and potatoes of the Chrome version, it’s fair to assume that we’ll see a similar focus placed on interactive skirmishes against adversaries across the globe once the standalone PC edition sees the light of day.

Is This The Most Gorgeous Shmup Of Them All? ‘Humans Must Answer’

Sumom Games are making a rather gorgeous looking shmup called Humans Must Answer, we’re hoping that its beauty isn’t skin deep though – this trailer certainly helps to alleviate that a little.

There are so many shmups around nowadays that we’re pretty sure we heard them in a nursery rhyme the other day – “and on that farm he had a shmup, Ee i ee i oh”…
Humans Must Answer is definitely standing out from the the other animals in the farm though. The graphics are rather gorgeous, there’s puzzle elements, lots of upgrades, you can combine weapons and, of course, there are epic boss battles.

It’s all packaged very nicely and in recognisable form though, after all it’s still a 2D shmup with bullets to dodge and disperse yourself. The three man team behind this wonderful creation are based in Ukraine and boast working on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Xenus II: White Gold. We’re much more interested in Humans Must Answer though, as will you be after this trailer we suspect.
