Build A Bundle 2, the sequel to the successful Build A Bundle from earlier this year, has finally graced our internet. It is packed full of various games from a number of genres to scratch that retro-action-puzzler-indie itch that you didn’t even know you had.

Build A Bundle 2 works like this: you pick three games out of a lot of twelve. You pay whatever you want for them, with the minimum being three bucks. All of the games come with either a Desura or Steam key.

What distinguishes this bundle from all of the others that pop up every two weeks? For one thing, the games are diverse in scope and design. For example, Will Fight For Food is a sidescrolling brawler with RPG elements about a luchadore in a dystopian future. The Tiny Bang Story is a point and click puzzle game with a beautiful hand-drawn aesthetic. Hammerfight uses a complex physics engine to transfer mouse movements into momentum, which is used to destroy enemies, environments, and anything else that happens to show up on screen.

There are many more games than those: Syberia II, A Stroke of Fate: Operation Valkyrie, Depth Hunter, Postal, DogFighter, Alien Breed: Impact, Iron Grip: Warlord, Dead Horde, and Dino D-Day round out the possible games.

As more bundles are purchased, more prizes are unlocked for all buyers. At the time of this writing, four digital albums have been unlocked: Is Anybody Home?, Hydrocity, Diddy Kong Racing: Bootleg Circuit, and Mega Air. More bonuses will be announced on July 20th and July 23rd.

As part of Steam’s Midweek Madness they are jumping on the bundle bandwagon and flaunting five rather good adventure games for a decent price. You’ve got to be fast to catch this one though.

If you like bundles and you know it, clap your hands. Oh quite a few of you I hear. Well then, you’ll be interested in this little bargain then. Digital distribution service Steam is holding an Indie Adventure Bundle this week – notice the word “bundle”, they normally just call them “packs”. In said bundle are five adventure games that you will enjoy undoubtedly, the problem is that you may already own them, in which case do feel free to pass them on to friends who are foolish enough to not own them. That’s a good consumer.

So, what do we have lined up for you? Well, we should first note that if you’re going to purchase this bundle then you’ll need to be quick about it – it ends at 4pm in Pacific Time, Thursday 12th of April!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much this game helped me get to sleep at night. I even termed it my “lullaby game” for its power to make me tired. Colibri Games’ The Tiny Bang Story is a whopping 75% off as today’s Steam Daily Deal, and if your PC or Mac is lacking the title you probably should swipe it up right now (or at least before tomorrow at approximately 10 AM PT). If the game was discounted this low during the holiday sale I completely missed the boat, as this is the first time I can recall the well received adventure, puzzle, and hidden object hybrid being available for less than lunch.

Like another game we have our eye on, Tiny Bang Story has no text instead opting for non-verbal communication and the player’s own intuition to fix machines/mechanisms and solve puzzles. Highly reputable games guy John Walker had this to say about it in an article entitled “Oh My Goodness, Play The Tiny Bang Story“ back in May of last year (just after its launch):

“The name comes from the ridiculously cute idea of a very tiny planet being split up into dozens of jigsaw puzzle pieces when it’s hit by a meteor. But nothing else goes bang here. In fact, it’s about as calming and sedate as you could hope for. This is, in fact, the exact midpoint between an Amanita adventure and a hidden object game, and it’s a brilliant place to be.”

Walker also mentions the game would be better suited at a $5-$7.50 price instead of $10, so here’s a great chance to get it for much less if TTBS sounds like your kind of flavor. It’s SteamPlay so you get both PC and Mac versions of the game should that sway you. Those on the fence can check out the PC Demo directly from the Steam page, and here’s the game’s launch trailer for your further consideration:
