You’ll want to wear a tin foil hat for this one, just in case your brain starts to seep through your skull.Pitched as a first person psychological puzzle game, Antichamber is something unlike what we have seen before. Well, that’s not true, it does have similarities with M.C. Escher and other maths-art type confusery.

Protest: Strict Game Policy Instigates Korean Embargo For Turtle Cream

Korean game policy insists that every game must be met with strict measures to ensure that the country’s youth are protected from any harm that games could cause. Turtle Cream, Korean natives themselves, have decided to protest these policies by refusing to release their game in the territories where these policies are active. The sweetest (and cutest) looking game released recently is Korean indie studio Turtle Cream’s Sugar Cube: Bittersweet Factory. Our review of the game even cites it as “svelte, cartoony sweetness”.

Stats That Matter: Swing Swing Submarine Shares Sales Charts

Those wonderful fellows over at Swing Swing Submarine have shared the 2011 sales charts of their game Blocks That Matter, the results are rather interesting to say the least.Blocks That Matter was released on to the Xbox Live Marketplace on May 5th 2011 and made its way to PC (Steam, Desura, Indievania) later in August. It also won the Dream.Build.Play 2011 Challenge and the game has been part of the Humble Voxatron Debut in November. It’s a puzzle game with a decent learning curve, some reflexive humor and a quirky art style. That’s the basics of the game, so let’s have a look at how it fared in the market! You’ll see in the charts below that Blocks That Matter sold a very, very small percentage on Xbox Live, not like that’s entirely surprising – we’ve heard similar stories before. The third chart down reveals which platforms the game sold the most on. Unsurprisingly, Steam came out on top but contrary to what many might think, Blocks That Matter sold more on Indievania than it did Desura.

‘Fez’ Is Almost Here, Now Submitted To Microsoft

The highly anticipated puzzle platformer being developed by Polytron Corporation, Fez, has now been submitted to Microsoft which means that it will be released very soon!Fez is the indie game scene’s Duke Nukem Forever – it’s been in development for a few years now, which isn’t too long, but considering how mind-bendingly well-designed it looks, it feels like we’ve been waiting an eternity.Over the years more and more people have heard about Fez and been left flabbergasted by watching any length of gameplay taken straight from its 2.5D glory. That amount of people significantly increased with the coverage of Phil Fish’s journey in the documentary Indie Game: The Movie which is also to be released shortly. So the news is this, Phil Fish took to the Polytron Corporation twitter account, slammed his finger down on the Caps Lock button and typed this tweet out for people to cry in excitement over. It reads:“FEZ HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO MICROSOFT FOR CERTIFICATION.”As that is pretty much the final stage before the game is published on to Xbox Live Arcade, we can confirm that the game will coming very soon, though we still don’t know the exact release date. It’s soon though, be assured of that. You can find out more information about Fez over on the official website. You may be interested in: Microsoft Acquires Twisted Pixel Microsoft And IGF Team Up To Offer ‘XBLA Prize’ Indie Developers Feel Distanced By Microsoft, While Sony Is Being “Very Supportive” IndieCity Extends Developer Challenge, Showcases First 50 Games Submitted IndieCade 2011: Lone Survivor Submitted Just In Time!

‘Operation: Eradicate’ Approved And Dated For iOS Release

Skejo Studios‘ turn-based, co-op strategy game, Operation: Eradicate, has just been approved by Apple so the developers have celebrated with new gameplay and announced the release date for their debut title. While the App Store may be full of “casual” titles, which implies easy-to-grasp gameplay, Skejo are to be bringing a slightly more challenging experience in the form of a turn-based strategy title. They are quick to point out that they have a detailed tutorial which will ease any player to the game and it’s all about fighting back zombie hordes; so something just about any player can understand. Of course, the cop-op is realised through Game Center which allows friends to match up to take turns fighting back the “Infected Ones”.Greg Holsclaw, the founder of Skejo, told us that once work was started on bringing a game of this calibre to iOS devices, the team soon realised it was a much bigger project than they originally thought. They’re now thrilled to have it completed and approved by Apple for a forthcoming release on February 26th 2012.“We are now paving the way for our next two projects; a top scrolling story-telling platformer and a side scrolling indirect platformer,” Skejo founder Greg Holsclaw told us.You can find out more information on Skejo and Operation: Eradicate over on the official website. You may be interested in: Big Bang For No Buck, ‘Renegade X: Operation Black Dawn’ Is Free ‘Shank 2′ Gets A Release Date And Slick New Gameplay Footage Magnus: Operation Hard Drive is a videoIndie Game Preview: Magnus: Operation Hard Drive New Trailer And Gameplay Footage For ‘Vessel’, Confirmed March 1st PC Release The Binding of Isaac Dated and Priced

Exploration, Puzzles And Creating Music: ‘FRACT OSC’

A new developer diary for FRACT OSC shows an impressive progression in development; it being an exploration/puzzle game while at the same time teaching its player to make music with synths. This is a bit of a flashback. We haven’t heard about FRACT for a little while now; last time we did it left us very intrigued. Now, however, it’s moved beyond anything we could have expected as its developer, Richard Flanagan, has obviously been hard at work.It seems FRACT OSC is split in two. On the one side we have that exploration/puzzle game that impressed us so with its alienating but satisfying mechanics early last year. In fact, you can still play that old version of FRACT: click here for a Windows download and here for your Mac equivalent.Nearing the latter parts of that old version of FRACT was some kind of huge music studio.
