Altitude Update Brings New Map, Feature Additions

Altitude_update_May_17Nimbly Games has released a large update for its multiplayer-heavy flying combat game Altitude, now available for download on Steam.

The patch brings the new map tbd_underpark, with an updated tbd_cave map released as well. A list of feature additions accompany the update including exporting screenshots in the map editor and an improved tutorial. Several balance tweaks and bug fixes are packed alongside the new additions.

The file can be downloaded automatically via Steam for owners of the game, a demo of the title is available to try as well. From the description:

Biplane (Dogfighter, Recoilless) slightly increased primary weapon damage (38 -> 39)

Mouse Control: press F1 to open the console and type “mouse true” to activate

LAN Servers tab added to server list

Improved “Pilot Certification” tutorial

Export -> Screenshot added to map editor

Hangar Deck -> Community Points now allows you to hover your point total for a points-by-source breakdown

Bots that just spawned and are pursuing a stationary objective powerup (e.g. the ball after a goal was just scored) will fly at half throttle to give non-bot teammates a chance to grab the powerup first

Bug Fixes:

Tightened Miranda teleport collision check to prevent exploits

Fixed bug that would sometimes prevent dunks from scoring (dunk = flying directly into the goal while carrying the ball)

Fixed rare bug that allowed more than one ball to enter play

Fixed team switch bug in 1-life modes

Fixed console auto-completion bug

Fixed rare bug that caused objects near the edge of the screen to flicker

Fixed incorrect badge display on award screen caused by players leaving while the awards are showing

Fixed a bug that prevented nickname changes

Fixed a few miscellaneous bugs

Shattered Horizon Update Brings Optimizations, Accuracy and Speed Tweaks

shattered_horizion_update_may_15Futuremark has released a new update for its zero-G shooter Shattered Horizon, now available for download on Steam.

The v1.2.0.26 patch brings a short list of notable changes to the title including performance optimizations and plenty of gameplay tweaks including overall improvement for pistol accuracy, non-scoped railgun accuracy, along with an increase in speed while using the machine gun and a reduction in speed when carrying the SMG.

The file can be had by owners of the game by restarting the Steam client, if it doesn’t just arrive automatically. From the change log:

Booster Trooper Update Adds New Map, Dedicated Server Prep

Booster_trooper_updateDnS Development has released another new update for its multiplayer action title Booster Trooper, now available for download. The patch brings several noteworthy items including the addition of the new Scrapyard map to the game, along with the log mentioning that dedicated servers are being prepped and are on the way for the game.

Other changes include improved size for the health and jetpack bar, auto spawn and more. The file can be downloaded now via Steam for owners of the game. If you’re interested in purchasing Booster Trooper, it’s available now for $9.99, with a four-pack priced at 25% off. From the change log:

Max & the Magic Marker Update Adds 16:9 Resolution Support

Max_Marker_Update_May_14Press Play has released an update for Max & the Magic Marker, now available for manual download.

The patch adds support for 16:9 resolutions as well as putting non-English language hints back into the game. The game currently stands at v1.04 with the update, though it’s unclear on whether the recently announced (and now released) Steam version is up to date with this latest release.

The file weighs in at 65 MB for PC and 88 MB for Mac and is available for download now via The Patches Scrolls, from the description:

Solium Infernum Update Released

Solium_InfernumCryptic Comet has released a new update for its turn based strategy game Solium Infernum, now available for download. The v1.06 patch brings a list of fixes for bugs and errors found in the in-depth tactical foray that has players ascending to the throne of Hell.

The update also adds a few gameplay tweaks including an increase in the range threat threshold that the AI uses for determining threats.

The file weighs in at 1 MB and can be downloaded now via The Patches Scrolls. From the change log:

- Fixed bug where player perk bonuses where not being added to deceit roll for frame attempt success.

- The bonus for Pandemonium in determining successful framing for hostile rituals is now 10 instead of 8

- If a player has demonic premonitions active and is the target of a ritual (not the player being framed) then they now receive their Prophecy roll number as a bonus when determining whether frame attempts are successful.

- Fixed bug in AI selection of Rain of Brimstone and Vile Oath.

- Fixed bug where player could be excommunicated by event and still selected regent.

- Fixed bug where paying to continue Planar Lock did not actually continue the lock effect Implemented update message to target of Planar Lock that has been continued to the next turn.

- Fixed bug where wrong message was sent when player performed rituals against Pandemonium and was excommunicated.

- Fixed bug where loyalty for legions was not getting demonic premonitions bonus when events that required a loyalty check occurred.

- Fixed bug in AI goal that directed the destruction of opponent’s legions.

- Fixed error in display of 3 digit resource stockpiles.

- Fixed bug in Dire Dissipation ritual so that attributes as well as hit points are permanently reduced (as the manual says they should be).

- Increased average reformation times of personal guard legions for lower infernal rank Archfiends.

- Fixed AI bug where wrong support ritual was being performed during attacks on unclaimed Places of Power.

- Increased range threat threshold that AI uses for determining threats to own stronghold by excommunicated players.

- Fixed AI bug where goal processing cycled endlessly between goals for buffing up legion for attack and moving legion to attack because battle success chances did not match.

- Fixed AI bug where even though a Machine was completed it did not get constructed if the AI prioritized a different goal because the Create Machine goal was removed from the stack and also not in the possible goals pool.

- Fixed bug where excommunication of player removed all mod objects from player and not just mod objects that were Infernal Conclave Decrees

Blueberry Garden Update Adds Playground Mode

Blueberry_Garden_Update []Erik Svedang’s award-winning adventure game Blueberry Garden has received a new update, now available on Steam. Among other notable items, the patch brings the new Playground game mode, letting players place fruits and creatures into the game to see how they interact. Very scientific.

X-Motor Racing Updated to v1.23

xmr_12 []Exotypos has released a new update for its independently developed motorsport sim X-Motor Racing. The patch brings the game up to v1.23, bringing a tidy list of improvements, additions and tweaks to the title.

The download is available now for players via the in-game menu. The X-Motor demo also received the patch, available here for those who’d like to take her out for a spin.

Shattered Horizon Gets Dedicated Server, Update

Shattered_Horizon_update_dedicated_serversFuturemark Games Studio has announced the release of dedicated server support along with a new update for its zero gravity FPS Shattered Horizon, now available for players via Steam.

The dedicated server brings plenty of trimmings for admins/players including custom level rotations, game settings, LAN support and more. The patch brings quite a bit itself including some HUD improvements, bug fixes and the like. Both are available now for owners of the title and can be applied simply by restarting the Steam client.

BOH Update and Demo Released

BOH []Simone Bevilacqua has released an updated version of the original, retro-flavored title BOH, now available for download off the official site for the game.

The update adds one-way passages and flying enemies, improves the visual feedback of hits in the “vectors” theme, changes the function of teleports and more.

Additionally updated demos for Windows, Linux, MacOS, AmigaOS, and AROS have been released as well.
