Boy Loves Girl, that’s the name of the game I spent the past week playing, the game that started out as something curious and ended up as an addiction that crosses my mind the second I unlock my iPad and see the funny little icon with the boy and girl facing each other. This is a strange feeling that you wouldn’t expect from a game named Boy Loves Girl, when you first play it is indeed a little strange as well. Boy Loves Girl plays a little bit like a runner game with the player swiping/tapping in order to avoid obstacles, but something about it is just different. The difference may be found within the story that doesn’t quite jump out and shout itself out loud to the player; however it does exist if you are willing to read between the lines and actually open your mind up to what is happening on the screen. For now we will talk about specifics of the gameplay before delving a bit more into the classic story of Boy Loves Girl. Each level is a side-scrolling adventure that has the player swiping up or down on their screen to move the moon in the swiped direction. Throughout the sky are a number of different clouds or obstacles that each possesses their own abilities and way to shatter the moon and cause the game to end.

The new update should make things easier too.Whether you love it or despise it, Valentine’s Day will be here tomorrow and society will enforce the idea of love and all of that other hazy stuff. Perhaps the perfect accompaniment if you dig this love-centric holiday is Grubby Hands’ Boy Loves Girl, which we happen to know is a pretty good game as well.Grubby Hands have actually just released a new update for Boy Loves Girl.
