We’ve long pursued through tortures untold to be the guy, but Cog Monkey’s top down dungeon crawler immediately skips the toils of trying to be him and actually puts us in his shoes and facing the many challenges that comes with such a status. Set for a PC release this June, Guy Vs. The Wicked And Nefarious Land (from now on known as Guy), has been given the honor of a gameplay trailer and we’ve gazed upon its offering. Were we impressed? Not entirely but the game certainly looks interesting.

Interesting of course, not necessarily indicating that it’s any different to the many dungeon crawlers we’ve played before now. After all, Guy comes with a familiar hack ‘n’ slash type gameplay and seems to also incorporate puzzles. There are items and weapons to find throughout the dungeons, of which there are five to travel though, so you can expect a pretty typical dungeon crawling experience.

However, that’s fine as long as it’s done well and Guy is shaping up to fit such a description. We’re particular fans of dodging the big guys who then collide into the walls, oh and the boss fights looks pretty intense. We’ll be waiting for June’s arrival eagerly.
