Mangled Eye Studios, developer of Dark Salvation has announced Metal Savior, a fast-paced futuristic sci-fi shooter presumably coming to PC. The dev describes the FPS as “super duper fast” and ”very arcade like” as players must run through and deal with an army of Nanotech machines who have overrun an underground facility on the planet Arcronium.
A teaser site has been launched for the title complete with a computer voice stating the protagonist’s (and presumably your) mission.
No release schedule or footage of the game has been released as of yet, but updates are promised to be on the way. We’ll be keeping our eye on this one as it’s unveiled.
Mangled Eye Studios has knocked $5 off the price of both the retail disc and digital price of its hellish FPS Dark Salvation. The title uses id Software’s id Tech 3 graphics engine bringing an old school shooter feel similar to the style of Doom or Quake.
The game, which runs $25 Retail/$15 Digital standard goes for $20/$10 on the game’s website. While there is no specific end date for the savings, the site claims the game is “on sale for the holidays” so you probably have until late December. Unless, of course they’re referring to the upcoming holidays of Halloween and Veterans Day, which certainly come closer to matching the theme of Dark Salvation, what with the whole war against hell situation.
