Anyway, we’re here to inspect gameplay here and with 40 levels, two levels of difficulty and (hopefully) online highscores/best times for each level; there should be plenty going on during your time spent with the game.</p><p>The idea of <strong>Aqualibrium</strong> is that you must make your way around your ship which has submerged under an alien ocean after an unavoidable crash landing. The pressure is starting to build up so you’ll frantically need to rush around and rid the water trapped in each section. While doing this sounds hectic enough, you’ll have to also worry about the number of exotic aliens which have found their way into the ship – just hope your guns don’t malfunction at the wrong time.</p><p>There’s no release date for <strong>Aqualibrium</strong> as it is still under development but it should be soon and it will definitely be on XBLIG. All of the SeY in the village has run out! What shall we do Goro?</p><p>Psst, you’re Goro.</p><p>Oh right, ahem. Well, as the Village Chief I shall head out and restore the precious SeY to the village. That’s reasonable right?</p><p>Oh we love you Goro, you’re such a charmer.</p><p>Well that’s how we see the start of <strong>Wooden Sen’SeY</strong> going anyway. So Upper Byte are a fresh French studio who are making this rather vibrant action-platformer for PC and Mac. They’ve only just announced it though so we’re getting a first look and can tell you that it definitely looks like something we want to play. As you may have contrived from that muddle above, you’ll be playing as Goro who is the Chief of a village which has run out of Sey – the liquid that “invigorates” the villagers.</p><p>Goro goes on an epic quest to get more SeY through many dangers, but luckily he is armed with two giant axes and is more than happy to squash anything underneath him and use his grapple to fly out of harm’s way. A regular hero is our Goro. The developers of iTerraform, B+ Games, describe it as an “online 3D virtual game”, which immediately distances it from a ‘sandbox-crafter’. The game itself runs on its own currency, with which the players will be able to buy land with which they may do as the please, apparently.</p><p>The game’s virtual economy can be earned in-game though the means of doing this have not been divulged as of yet. As you may have guessed, you can also buy this virtual currency with your real money, which instantly makes people jump up from their chairs and scream “dirty MMO” at us so it seems. Hey, we’re just reporting on the details here and people have to make money right?</p><p>Anyway, the important part is what you can actually <em>do</em> with this virtual land and presumable other assets in the game upon purchase. The short answer is “pretty much anything”, or at least as much as the game’s assets and interface allow – your creativity is the limit and more and more will be added to the game over time to open up new possibilities. The longer answer (yes that was the short one) is plant trees, create buildings, control avatars, ride in vehicles, mine for minerals and plenty more, PLUS, you’ll eventually be able to upload your own assets to the game and sell them inside the game’s economy.</p><p>It sounds like a crazy but workable idea and one that we’ll be watching as development continues.
