Revolutionary war mod based on an already amazing game? Yes please. It appears that since the release of Mount and Blade: Warband, a die hard group of fans over on ModDB have been actively creating one of the most interesting mods I’ve seen this year, a complete reworking of the game’s medieval settings to produce a game based on early 1800s warfare called Mount and Musket: Battalion.
Here’s the description from the developers:
Mount and Musket: Battalion is a mod for Warband that tries to represent a historically accurate early 1800s. It has real factions, with historical troops and items, adds factions, maps, items, balancing and more to the game. It is the most popular Napoleonic mod, and has been around for a while, with many large scale events with hundreds of people and organized regimental warfare. With a rapidly growing community its recommended to all players who enjoyed Battlegrounds 2, and any [other] realism game.
Sound like your cup of tea? Good. You can download the mod right now for free, although the mod does require a copy of Mount and Blade: Warband to play.
