Super SOPA Bros. and 46 Other Entries Were Created for SOPAJam

Well I would say that LudumDare’s mini game jam, SOPAJam, was quite the success. Despite minimal preparations and not being a main competition like Ludum Dare 22 was it still managed to get 47 games created that were all about SOPA. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty damn impressed with those numbers!

One of my personal favorites just happens to by Super SOPA Bros., a delightful flash game that, as I’m sure you can probably already guess, takes a unique spin on the classic Super Mario Bros. platforming aesthetics.

Of course there’s one main caveat with that… everything is censored. The main character, the enemies, even the blocks we’ve grown so fond of destroying has been censored. It’s a unique take on a popular game, one could say. The game ultimately ends with a big black screen that states:

The remaining levels of ths game have been censored, thanks to SOPA. Making the Internet a better place since 2012.

Quite tongue in cheek!

Anyway, check out the rest of the game. There’s some true anti-SOPA gems in there begging to be played.
