Super Crate Box iOS Hits App Store

Gameplay wizards Vlambeer have just passed along word that their popular arcade platformer Super Crate Box has arrived on the App Store (with the assistance of Halfbot), and can be picked up now for the nice little price of $0.99.

The title took a bit longer than expected to be readied as a universal app, but with the team going for touch controls that feel just right it seems the wait may have been worth it. Hopefully this also will help them move on from the whole Radical Fishing mess. (Another item they attribute to why it took longer for the mobile port to release.)

Vlambeer goes on to share that, in an effort to make the launch something special, the frequency and amount of updates for the new version will be based on the potential community surrounding the game. Basically boiling down to when milestones are hit, with the first patch set to roll out shortly after the five million mark on the crate counter is hit.

If you’re in possession of an iOS device and consider yourself even a part-time gamer on it, this is a no-brainer to add to your collection. If your iOS device-free, you could always play the  freeware version on PC like the rest of us have since we discovered it way back when.
