A heads-up if you’re a 360 owner looking for an experience similar to the Mario Kart series on your Indie Games channel: Citizen 12 Studio has ported over Pangea Software’s popular iOS Kart Racer Cro-Mag Rally onto XBLIG. Unfortunately, the game’s multiplayer component seems to have been lost in translation.
C-MR is a comedy driving title that has players controlling the speed-hungry caveman Brog, as he races around tracks throughout the Stone, Bronze, and Iron age (think circuits.) Gameplay offers a dozen power-ups, a wide variety of tracks/vehicles to choose from, and supposedly the controls have really be tightened-up Citizen 12′s efforts. As mentioned, the only real thing missing from the original is any sniff of multiplayer, which is a bit of a shame if you ask me.
The game runs at 240 MS Points ($3) on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and $3.99 on the App Store. Cro-Mag Rally was also recently released on the Windows 7 Phone; but without owning one of those I’m finding it a hard time to figure out price, and whether or not that version’s multiplayer was nixed as well.
