Minecraft Snapshot Brings Pet Ocelot, Smarter AI, Other Stuff

This week’s Minecraft Snapshot brings a few updates you’ll probably be interested in, that is, if you’re a Minecraft fan. The biggest update being the trainable Ocelot “pet” as well as some smarter AI pathing for the skeleton baddie. Other updates as well, which we’ll get to after the break.

So first, as I said, the game now has a trainable pet ocelot. It’s quite adorable if you’re more of the feline variety type person. They can be trained with fish and you can breed them if you so desire. According to the video (below) the ocelot also comes in three different varieties! So for those of you who are especially picky, if you shouldn’t be disappointed.

Moving on, as mentioned above Skeletons caught out in the open during the day time will now seek cover under trees for shade in order to survive. This should make the experience during the daytime a bit more lively, although the video below still showed they were being burned by the sun.

Finally, the last major update is the inclusion of jungle trees which provide significant coverage for those who prefer a shadier climate. Buyer beware though, shadier climates will give our newly enhanced skeleton friends the cover they desire for day time harassment.
