Join In the Stop SOPA/PIPA Ludum Dare Jam Right Now!

If you hadn’t noticed, there are plenty of places on the web today that have “gone dark” in protest to the upcoming and constantly debated legislation called the Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect IP Act. Both are attempting to circumvent basic freedoms granted by the Internet and censor Americans (like me!) from sites the government or big interests deem not appropriate or “illegal.” It’s this year’s Net Neutrality.

In any case, I’m not here to berate you guys with SOPA/PIPA details. I’m sure you’ve heard them all before. What I’m here to talk about is Ludum Dare’s response to it in that they’ve launched another game jam going on right now!

The Stop SOPA/PIPA Game Jam is today in order to coincide with the rest of the Internet’s protest to the grossly over-reaching bill. Essentially all you need to do is creat a game that is, in some way, anti-SOPA/PIPA and submit it. Then, as per usual, people will play and rate them.

Sound fun? Good! Now get to coding! We want to see plenty of anti-SOPA/PIPA games today… as of this writing there are already 13 games live!
