Carpe Fulgur has announced a couple important bits of info regarding the recently revealed translation of Lizsoft Game Studios action RPG sidescroller Fortune Summoners: Secret of the Elemental Stone. The first is a very slight downer, but the second makes up for it and then some by addressing an issue several of us were critical of when the game was originally announced.
That issue I mention is of course the $25 USD price tag unveiled alongside back in early January. The update shares word that the price of the game is now being refigured, with Carpe Fulgur promising that the game “will be no higher than $20 USD and equivalents, and may end up being lower.” Likely the US translators don’t have total say in the matter, so it’s possible there was enough noise generated over the high price that the folks at CF were able to convince Lizsoft to go another route.
The aforementioned first item refers to a delay, but not a long one. Instead of Fortune Summoners releasing this past Tuesday (January 17th) as originally announced, it’s now set to arrive this Tuesday (January 24th). Plans are still for Steam and GamersGate to distribute–so if the price is still a bit high for your tastes, perhaps a slight launch discount on top will tip the scales.
