You won’t find Mario or Luigi here, but what you will find are two mechanics who are not only brothers but share some of the same habits and tendencies as those “other” more popular brothers most people have heard of. According to the developers we can fully expect the game to be “a pixelated family fun adventure of running, jumping, collecting, racing against the clock.”

This might also seem familiar to those “other” brothers that aren’t the Other Brothers, but the developers promise there will be a twist to liven up the gameplay.

I suppose at this point there should be no way you don’t see the comparisons so I’ll just come out and say it. The Other Brothers are a unique take on the Super Mario Brothers franchise. One that we know very little about so far and one that looks pretty phenomenal in all its pixelated glory.

Oh and for those curious, The Other Brothers will launch on iOS followed by an Android release at a later date. No release date for either has been determined.
