VVVVVV Landing on Nintendo 3DS eShop December 29th

Here’s a post-holiday Christmas present for you all, Terry Cavanagh’s fantastic retro-styled platformer is set to arrive on Nintendo’s 3DS handheld in just a few days time. No longer will Captan Viridian be stuck on your PCs screen, immobile.

For those of you unfamiliar with the game, I invite you to read our review. We enjoyed it immensely.

The 3DS version of VVVVVV is being created and published by Nicalis, the same company that brought us re-imagined versions of Cave Story, but, from what I understand, the 3DS version of VVVVVV remains largely unchanged in content. Still, it’s a great game!

For those of you in Europe, you’ll be waiting a bit longer. Unfortunately, it seems there was a hold up at the PEGI offices so your version is expected sometime in early January.

And finally the game is going to be sold for $7.99. It’s a little steep, especially since you can get the game for $1.24 right now on Steam, but that’s not to say the game isn’t worth it and who knows what kind of neat 3D effects your getting with it.
