Sometimes I forget about the lovely platforming treat that is Dustforce, and it is at those times that I feel truly lost in this world. We’ve been waiting around a long time for the game, and (according to developer Hitbox) it looks like the wait is coming to an end finally with a Steam launch set for January.

The latest trailer released by the dev is a real treat, as it shows off some of the combat we can look forward to. Hitbox Team’s Woodley Nye explains why it will be both an action-packed and tactical affair:

“We wanted to show that the game isn’t just a difficult platformer – we’ve also worked hard to make a deep, fun and impactful attack system that goes hand in hand with running and jumping.”

That is particularly exciting to hear. Dustforce hits PC/Mac via Steam next month.
