Everyone’s favourite gooey puzzle masterpiece, 2dboy’s World Of Goo, was supposed to have been squeezed out onto the Android Market by now, but it seems they’ve had to delay it. It’s been pushed back five days, so now we have to wait until November 28th. Here’s a message from a friendly World of Goo Corporation Associate PR Representative, explaining the Goo shortage:
We deeply regret this inconvenience to our loyal customers who are eagerly and patiently awaiting the arrival of Goo on their Android devices. We are hard at work preparing a new batch of Android Goo and are committed to replacing our shipping and logistics sub-contractors who we believe are to blame for this incident.
This minor failure may have cost the state of Pennsylvania and several on our insurance partners a few million dollars, but we would like to assure our valued customers that this will in no way affect future shipments of Goo
More details on this disaster here.
When it does come out, it’s going to cost $4.99 and will run on “most phones with Android 2.2 or newer and on all tablets”.
I can’t wait, the iOS version was great, although some of the harder levels were difficult with a touchscreen.
2dboy have remained pretty quiet about what they’re working on as a follow up to World of Goo. I’m sure they’re busy cooking up something special.
