We knew it was coming and, well, here it is! World of Goo is now officially available on Android as 2D Boy has finally decided to bless those of us who prefer Google’s flavor of phone and tablet operating system. There’s also a demo for those of you who want to try before you buy (given that Google’s 15 minute period is often too short to do anything).
There’s not much more to say here about the game that you shouldn’t already know. To date the game has blessed many different gaming systems and has won so many awards that if you haven’t heard of it by now then I’m just going to assume you’ve been living under a rock.
According to 2D Boy the game will run on most Android phones with Android 2.2 of higher as well as every tablet. If you have an older phone, however, they suggest you try the demo just to be sure. In fact, it probably wouldn’t hurt for everybody to try the demo at first, just in case. As much as we wish it weren’t an issue, fragmentation continues to be a problem for Android.
Finally, the game is right now 40% off at $2.99 until December 5th. A sort of release day celebration, if you will. Afterwards the game will return to its normal $4.99 price so get it now while the gettin’ is good!
