If there was ever a doubt in your mind that Indie Game: The Movie might not be as good as some of the trailers make it out to be then, well, it’s time to shelf those doubts right now. Apparently the duo the IGTM showed the film to Phil Fish, Jonathan Blow, Edmund McMillen, and Tommy Refenes this past Sunday in its full and, practically, completed form. BY the end of it, Phil had been moved to tears… If that’s not a ringing endorsement then I don’t know what is.
It’s quite an amazing story around the IGTM guys. I remember speaking to them about the movie initially back in 2010 and then once more at GDC 2011. It’s amazing how far they have come with relatively little funding support although an amazing support from the community at large.
Still the movie is not done yet… unfortunately and the rest of us will have to wait until 2012 to catch the full version. If you’re interested you can buy the poster or pre-order the video from the IGTM guys directly via the link below.
