We actually, probably should have covered this a little over a month ago when it was officially released onto the PSN store, but we forgot. Or rather, we didn’t know it existed! Sorry about that. In any case, Mediatonic has created another drool-worthy PSN Mini for you guys to check out. If you were at all a fan of Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess or Who’s That Flying?! then you’ll want to looking into this game as well.

1000 Tiny Claws is the company’s third PSN Mini title and this time they’ve gone for a more hack and slash feel that their previous two games (each which explored a different genre as well).

Here’s an official description:

Your LEGENDARY sky-pirate crew may have been responsible for unleashing an apocalyptic curse of giant insects upon the world – and now there’s only 24 hours to save their necks from the hangman’s noose…

Despite protestations that ‘dangerously cursed islands’ should REALLY be more clearly sign-posted, First Mate Rana sets out to SMASH her way through the relentless scuttling horde in a sword-swinging arcade battler set against an epic backdrop of sky-islands and piracy!

Sound like fun? Good! Because if it’s anything like Mediatonic’s other independently developed games then it’s bound to be amongst the best of the best with regards to the Minis section of the PSN Store which, unfortunately, doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves.

1000 Tiny Claws is available right now for both the PS3 and PSP.
