Silly sale season continues with this Black Friday (move fast!) bonus – the Indie Game Music Bundle. 10 great videogame original and remixed soundtracks by some of the best in the business, including Danny B, Hyperduck Soundworks, Virt and Souleye, all available for whatever you want (starting at $1) with another 7 (!) bonus albums thrown in if you pay $10 or more. And the best part of it all? It’s all digital, so you don’t have to be trampled by crazy people to get it! Unless you like that sort of thing.
Weirdo.
The lineup isn’t to be sniffed at, that’s for sure. The original Minecraft soundtrack is in there, providing mellow tunes to punch blocks to. Super Meat Boy’s soundtrack has all the electronic drive and energy needed to get you past all of life’s spinning buzzsaw traps, and the VVVVVV remixed OST is just plain catchy; I found myself continually humming the original versions after playing the game itself for just an hour or two, so being able to pipe it directly into your brain may be considered dangerous abuse of a controlled substance in some countries.
The bonus lineup ain’t too shabby either, with more C418 and Danny B taking top billing, including the downbeat-and-determined Binding Of Isaac soundtrack, which should evoke images of naked, crying children locked in basements for a great many gamers… Okay, so perhaps that’s not the best selling point, but it is a fantastic soundtrack, even if it is a little more low-key than Super Meat Boy.
As mentioned, this is a one-day-only Black Friday deal. If you like your bleeps, bloops and warbles legitimately harvested, grab it quick.
