Just in time for the long weekend, here comes a game that can spare the the drudges of your family throughout. I am, of course, talking about Treasure Adventure Game, an admittedly bland title for such an amazingly huge, open world platformer that has you searching treasure and, well, adventure. Sounds pretty great right?

Developed by Robit Studios, Treasure Adventure Game is a free-to-play, still-in-beta open world adventure platformer. You could probably classify it as a Metroidvania but without all of the RPG features. Really it’s just a huge world to explore and that sounds just great to me.

I’m not really sure if there’s a story attached to it as I have yet to actually jump in, so to say, but I’m impressed with what I’ve seen in the trailer and by the games nostalgic graphics and great soundtrack. The fact that Robit Studios is giving this game away for free is almost enough for me to jump for joy.
