Great news for Paradox Interactive fans today as the company has announced, via a press release, that their upcoming “be whatever you want to be” industrialization, nation strategy game, Victoria 2, has gone gold and is ready to be released on August 13th.

For those that still wish to pre-order the game, all the various digital download locations are still accepting them and should you decide to pre-order there’s a bevy of of extra content that’ll be heading to you exclusively like: the soundtrack, a manual, technology guide, map, and a strategy guide to Victoria 2.

Of course, with the momentous occassion that is Victoria 2′s gold status, Paradox has also decided to release a new trailer in celebration. Enjoy, and get ready for some hardcore strategy action in less than two weeks time.
