A Great Day for Science! Ray Ardent: Science Ninja [Preview]

Ray ArdentAnother mainstream developer has added Indie to his name and has released some screens and a trailer for his upcoming flash game entitled Ray Ardent: Science Ninja.

Shane Neville spent the past 14 years developing a couple of games you might have heard of such as Company of Heroes, Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed, the mobile version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and many more. But he pulled up his roots and dove right into the flash gaming world to deliver this fantastic looking speed platformer.

Ray Ardent: Science Ninja is a great blend of speed-run platforming, earning skills and killing dinosaurs. With gameplay reminiscent of N in such that you can slide and jump off of walls and collect items throughout each level, Ardent ups the ante by giving you a loadout of special powers that you must choose before each level.

Some of the levels are quite diabolical in their dinosaur and pit placement and take quite a few tries. And to finish them in a speedy manner is even a bigger challenge. Running, jumping and defiying gravity through fifteen levels is a fantastic experience for a flash game. It’s fun throughout and the option to switch up your powers with each level makes your speed and score even more interesting as you go.

Featuring some funny dialog quips, great character illustrations that trace a story of a Child Genius and building tension, there isn’t much not to like in this game. The full version will be available to all sometime in September. We’ll keep you posted on its release. For now, here’s the trailer:
