I gotta hand it to the guys over at Tarver Games. Despite owning an iPod Touch for almost 9 months now, I hadn’t yet found a single FPS worth playing on the device. Today, however, that’s changed. Combined with some solid FPS controls and the low low price of nothing, I believe Ghosts Attack may yet be the best FPS on the iOS platform.

Of course, the game also has a storyline. Which is to say, it’s not bad. The fact that you’re getting a storyline at all with this game is kind of surprising given its price. Plus it comes with adequate voice acting. Who knew indie developers could do adequate voice acting?

I guess the only bad part about this game, and the reason why the game has a lower review rating is that unless you’re running an iOS4 device you won’t be able to play this game as it will cause you’re iDevice to crash.

Still though, you’d be hard pressed to find a more unique, cheaper, and better FPS game on iOS. So, if you meet the requirements, I say give this one a spin. It’s quite good.
