After some unfortunate feedback following the game’s initial release, Petrichor Studio has decided to update 7strains The Infectious with new features that are a response to the community’s demands. Complaints originally surfaced regarding the game’s difficult controls and lack of in-game challenges. Now, the one man team of Dustin Tigner — having invested a month’s work — has released (supposedly) one of the biggest updates for an XBLIG to date.

The additions include dual-stick controls, in-game challenges, and leaderboard support. Likewise, gamers can now find 26 customizing options as opposed to the previous 16. Finally, Petrichor Studio has also added four survivor difficulty levels. 7strains is still available on Xbox Live Indie Games for 80 MSP ($1).
