Minecraft Gets Ringing Endorsement from Valve, TF2 Crossover Map in Works

TF2_MinecraftWe’ve already seen Portal crossing over into Minecraft, now the Team Fortress 2 blog has gone out of its way to give a big fat shout out to Notch’s giant sandbox game, claiming that many of their employees have fallen victim to its charm and are falling behind on work. “Yes, you should play this game” they state with a link to it.

They go on to spout about how they’re not the only ones getting swept up in the fun, pointing to the many community members who are apparent fans of the game. So much so that some are working on a payload map for TF2 developed with Markus Persson’s title in mind, which the company quips they shall enjoy playtesting once it’s available.

Valve also points out that Persson has a pseudo-connection to the company, as he developed Left4kDead a couple years ago for the Java 4k competition. A tiny bit of fun I think you’d agree. All in all, very cool stuff for all parties. Check out the WIP video below on the aforementioned crossover map.
