JustNine has updated HellKid yet again. The 2D side-scrolling platformer gets a new feature with which players can play against one another via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. Another update has been promised by JustNine to add support for global matches as well. In-app purchases are now also available in the form of Blue and Golden Souls — the virtual currency used to buy items in the Item Shop within the game. In addition, the ability to flip the screen, the addition of new items, and iOS4 compatibility top off the rest of the update.

These new features join the already-rich Facebook/Twitter integration, five stages and five unique characters, soccer-themed Soccer Mode, achievements, and support for the game in English, French, Russian, German, Korean and Japanese. The latest version of HellKid is available now on the App Store at $0.99.
