• Out of the Frying Pan… Radiangames Inferno [Review]

Radiangames continues its beautiful shooter series on Xbox Live Indie Games with the third release in the series, Inferno. We loved the first release JoyJoy, but weren’t too keen on the follow-up Crossfire… so the great news is that Inferno is pretty much a maze-orientated version of JoyJoy.
With some great level design, gorgeous visuals and [...]

  • Cause We Got a Great Big Convoy… Reckless Squad [Preview]

Well, mark this down as one of the fastest introductory articles to preview turn arounds ever in DIYgamer.com history. Despite only officially announcing the game’s existence yesterday, I’ve already played a good deal of the press version and now have a gooey, creamy preview waiting for you to gobble it all up. Impressive huh?

  • NoituvsMachinarium

The last day of the round of 16! That means all of next week we’ll be patiently waiting for results to roll in before starting the quarter finals the week after. Exciting!

In any case, here are some quick updates about the various match ups currently running:

And feel free to click on any of the links above to get to that specific tournament to cast your vote.

Anyway, on to today’s first match up between Noitu Love 2 and Machinarium.

Up first we have the brilliantly made action platformer Noitu Love 2. I mentioned in the first post just how much this game reminded me of classic Mega Man X games but with a unique method of controlling your character. Noitu Love 2 is easily one of the best indie action platformers out there.

Not to go out easily, however, is Machinarium the beautiful adventure game that was released late last year by Amanita. For those that will remember this was our “indie game of 2009” and for good reason too. The art work, the puzzles, and the story were all executed to near perfection.

So which will make it to the quarter finals? Cast your vote now!
