When digging through the entries in this year’s various Global Game Jam participants, one that stood out was Tentacle, an entry at Sydney’s jam.

Two teams worked on Tentacle, Bit Battalion and Soap Creative. Now, Tentacle is a fun enough game about eating people, and you can play it here, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about.

I wondered what else the developers were working on. I didn’t see anything of note on the Soup Collective site, but Bit Battalion’s current project is pretty exciting.

The 2-man Australian developer is working on a Flash game called Mr. Runner. It’s a hard pixelated platformer with grueling levels and tight controls. At least, the developers say the controls are tight. When the game comes out I plan to see if that’s true. The game should be out soon, but get a glimpse of the game in the video below.
