Humorous Twin-Stick Shooter ‘Guerrilla Bob’ Released to App Store

guerrillabobIt’s been quite some time since Angry Mob Games conceded that the release of Guerrilla Bob would bring a new experience in the field of twin-stick shooters. It helped that the character designs looked excellent as well. Now, finally, Guerrilla Bob has been released on the App Store and it has garnered some exceptional praise from sources such as TouchArcade and PocketGamer. In addition to its tongue-in-cheek kickassery, Guerrilla Bob utilizes the new Crystal social gaming network and offers leaderboards as well as achievements.

The story of Guerrilla Bob is actually farfetched yet intriguing. It draws on a cameo from John Gore, who appeared in Chillingo’s and Mountain Sheep’s Minigore. While the two are childhood friends, they grew up and eventually went their separate ways; Bob joined the army while John pursued a life of crime. As it turns out, John frames his old friend and Bob is kicked out of the army. Now on a quest for revenge, Bob has nothing to lose and decides to hunt John down.

As if the story isn’t enough to make your mouths water, it should be well noted that Guerrilla Bob is an IGF Mobile finalist. Angry Mob Games is proud to have created a character with so much personality as Bob and hopes that players can appreciate that effort. Guerrilla Bob is available on the App Store for $2.99.
