I’ll admit it, when I first heard about B-Boy Beats, I automatically thought of Backstreet Boys. Whether that’s a good thing or bad thing depends on how big of a BSB fan you are… but fortunately, B-Boy Beats has nothing to do with boy bands. Instead, the game is a hip-hop rhythm title that centers around New York City in the 1980s. You basically battle other dancers and gain turf and territories (yes, this does remind you of You Got Served).
All jokes aside, however, the game seems to be an original take on the rhythm genre and will include songs from artists in the hip-hop underground. You are required to learn 10 dance moves that will test your skill and coordination as you battle 7 different NYC crews for supremacy. B-Boy Beats contains OpenFeint integration so you can show off your high score.
Set to release on February 14, Tag Games has given it the price tag of £1.79/$2.99/€2.39. Here’s a little preview from Tag Games for you guys.
