‘Bird Strike’ New and Noteworthy and Only $0.99 to Celebrate

birdstrikePikPok’s story of a bird with underdeveloped wings in need of gamers’ help has been featured on the “New and Noteworthy” section of the App Store. To celebrate, PikPok has decided to offer Bird Strike at half its price, $0.99. The game will go back up to its regular price of $0.99 starting February 1st, 2010.

In Bird Strike, players launch Gerald the Bird into the air and collect pickups along the way to ensure that he can go up as high as possible. With highly stylized designs, unique tilt and boost gameplay, 25 achievements and leaderboards via OpenFeint, and even additional content on the way, Bird Strike could easily be one of those popular titles to be snagged at only a dollar.

“The iPhone community has been very receptive and we have already added OpenFeint, online leaderboards, and are cooking up another update for our players. Bird Strike is fun and addictive and players of all ages have picked up the game and enjoyed launching Gerald the Bird skyward. We hope that at this price we get some of those people who were on the fence to pick up the game and start launching!”

- Jos Ruffell, head of PikPok
