On the 18th of January, indie developer Floating Minds announced a free upcoming online action-shooter titled Tunnelers. The game is slated to be released sometime in 2010 but sign-ups for the beta are open now. Here’s what the developer had to say about Tunnelers:

Earth, year 2159. Carretium, the ultimate energy mineral fouestend under the surface started the new era of prestige and power. However, harvesters discovered the secret that should have been buried underground forever… and the battle for survival starts!

Players will cooperate with one another through several game modes and fight underground with different kinds of upgradeable tanks. The exact specifications of the game’s content are as follows.
