Turborilla’s M.U.L.E. Revival Gets Free Release

Mule_released []Indie developer Turborilla (Mad Skills Motorcross) has announced that its economic strategy revival Planet M.U.L.E. has been released via the game’s website and is now available for download. Even better the multiplayer title is totally free.

The game is based on Dan Bunten’s M.U.L.E. by Ozark Softscape, released 26 years ago and considered one of the first multiplayer games ever to exist. The revival itself packs matches for up to four-players bringing both online and LAN support.

Though the launch was less than 24 hours ago, the game’s community has already reached over 900 registered players.

    Had this on the original 8-bit Nintendo, and it’s great to see it make a retro gaming revival!

    Would have made a great browser game, wonder why they didn’t go that route. Now if someone would make an Android version I’d be in nostalgia heaven…
