Team17′s ‘Alien Breed Evolution’ Releases on December 16

alienbreed20-year-old Team17 has been quite the veteran gaming studio. These are the same guys who released several Amiga titles to wow the masses, including the ultra=popular 12-million selling Worms. But before Worms, Team17 had Alien Breed, an Amiga classic-shooter. And on December 16, Team17 will celebrate the release of Episode 1 in Alien Breed Evolution, a re-imagining of the shooter based on Epic’s Unreal technology.

The game will contain a powerful single-player narrative and a co-operative Battle Mode for two online or offline. Through comic-book art and voice-acting, Team17 opts to capture your attention and draw you in to the highs and lows you will experience throughout the game. The detailed remake will even contain a re-mastered edition of Allister Brimble’s original title track.

Alien Breed Evolution will be available on the XBOX Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points (10 dollars) on December 16. While the trilogy will see the light of day earliest on the XBOX 360, Team17 also plans releases on the PlayStation Network and PC.
