ModDB’s Mod of the Year Awards 2009 Kicks Off

Mod of the Year 2009ModDB has started the nomination process for this year’s Mod of the Year Awards. This includes game mods, obviously, but also indie games. Previous winners include Garry’s Mod and Natural Selection.

The first phase of the event lasts until Jan. 5, and anybody can vote (though members’ votes carry more weight) for any mod or game by visiting the entry’s page at ModDB.

The 100 entries with the most votes will be announced Jan. 6, when the second phase starts. Then, after another round of voting that lasts until Feb 21, the winners will be announced.

In addition to the fame that , win practical prizes like version control services and game servers, as well as awesome, but less-than-practical prizes.
