At a time when arguments in Australia are soaring over censorship and ratings, Tripwire Interactive is able to release Killing Floor for the MA 15+ audience. While Valve had a difficult time convincing the government to allow for the release of Left 4 Dead 2, Killing Floor seems to have slipped under their radar and is now available in stores for $29.95 (that’s in Aussie dollars). Also, unlike Left 4 Dead 2, the same version of Killing Floor that was released on Steam and in stores throughout North America/Europe is the one now available down under.
The co-op survival horror shooter was the winner of Unreal’s “Make Something Unreal” competition. A series of cloning experiments for the military go awry and you are called upon to serve for the military and police alongside your friends. Killing Floor boasts a single player mode, co-op mode (up to 6 players), over 60 Steam achievements, over 9 game maps (with over a hundred custom maps made through the editor), and tons more.
Check out the game’s official Steam page for more info. Happy huntin’!
