Defence Alliance 2, the first free total conversion of Killing Floor, has been released onto Steam and is now available for download. The game credits itself to be a team-based FPS blending fast paced action with class based tactics in order to offer both instant gratification and deep, meaningful play.

The mod contains six different classes including the medic, mechanic, Rocketeer, Machine Gunner, Sniper and Rifleman, each with their own given and gained special abilities. Players can set up turrets including cannons, miniguns and rocket launchers,  as well as place ammo boxes, heal others and more. The title also brings the Co-p Specimen Survival mode, a standard back-against-the-wall kill the waves with limited resources situation that has been popularized over the last year.
