What a wonderful month December is. The 12th month brings cheer, mistletoe and, starting this year, lots of games.
The Indie Xmas Calendar 2009 is an Advent calendar that reveals something significantly better than chocolate every day of December until Christmas. You get a daily dose of indie games by way of a game or demo download, or at least a trailer to watch.
The idea grew out of one of Juuso’s posts at gameproducer.net as a way to generate sales for indie games while sticking it to the AAA titles. While I’m not sure how this is sticking it to the major developers, I do hope it sends some sales traffic to some deserving indie games.
The calendar kicked off with AI War: Fleet Command, a massive co-op RTS from Arcen Games, and continued today with an iPhone puzzler from Wee Little Gamer called The Adventures of Sir RolyPoly. The site is still taking submissions, so check the site throughout the month to see what else is revealed.
