That’s right, folks! The pipe-puzzler that was a well-founded hit on the iPhone makes its way onto the WiiWare store on January 4, 2010. Heron: Steam Machine is the work of Triangle Studios, who develop for the DS, iPhone, and Wii. The story of the game goes a little something like this: As Ron, you have been working at a factory making Rubber Duckies for quite a long time. One day you find out that your boss plans to hand over the business to his evil son. Because of this, you must assist Ron in working the steam machine twice as hard since the evil son raises production targets.
The addictive nature of the game isn’t the only thing that will keep you engaged considering that the title will have multiplayer features. Instead of competitive multiplayer, gamers will be encouraged to cooperate and keep the steam machine running together. With up to four players, it’s nice to see this type of co-op gameplay included in a WiiWare title. Heron: Steam Machine will be available on the WiiWare for 500 Wii Points ($5).
