Best Thing You’ll Play Today: Igneous

IgneousWell this was certainly a surprise. I found this while stumbling through my Destructoid feed today. It’s a short, very fun game called Igneous. I’m not quite sure what the story is, or even if there supposed to be a plot, but it’s definitely worth the download.

Do you remember those levels in games like Crash Bandicoot where the whole purpose was to run away from something, like a giant, tumbling boulder? That’s pretty much what Igneous is like but mixed in with some acrobatics and seriously fast gameplay. You play as a sort of tiki whose job it is to stop another tiki from destroying the world — I think. In order to do this you must out run a wall of lava, crumbling bridges, and even laser eyes. It’s fast, it’s furious… and it’s all over in about 20 minutes.

Seriously this game is free, fun, and short. Do yourself a favor and download this game on your lunch break. You, probably, won’t regret it.
