Planet Earth Crusaders (PEC) is a very simple game, but one that can easily suck an hour or two out of your life without you noticing it. It’s the killer combination of simple, free, and totally badass that we love around these parts. Which is why I’ve decided to contribute an entire post to it.

PEC is a top down, battlefield game that pits your human forces against the Cyborgs. It combines all of the best things about the multiplayer FPS’s we love today and mashes it into a simple top-down shooter. You choose a map, pick a class, and engage in fairly massive 2d battles for supremacy against the Cyborgs. Think of it like a top-down, 2d perspective version of the Battlefield series and you’ll kind of understand what I mean.

Anyways the game is fun as hell and free so there’s really nothing to complain about. The only thing I can add is I really, really wish there was online multiplayer because this game is tailor made for that kind of experience.
