When Finnish developer Frozenbyte’s Trine was shown at E3, it garnered the “Best Downloadable Game” award topping even Fat Princess and Shadow Complex. Since that day, there has been much of a wait until its release on October 22 and the game just keeps getting better. The fantasy action-platformer allows the player to create physics-based objects which are then employed in the environment to progress through stages. Players have the option of selecting between three characters, all bound by the Trine–a mystifying device–and must use these characters to the best of their abilities in order to save the kingdom.
European gamers have already given Trine a positive reception; a patch was also released to address issues players may have had with the game. Here’s the official link! The highly-anticipated title is already available for PC (via Steam) and will be made available to American PS3 owners on Oct 22nd.
There is currently no release date announced for the 360 version.
